>I treat every single piece of email that I receive in this manner as a scam and I totally ignore them, whether they sound legitimate or not ... they usually aren't legitimate. I get a ton of these types of emails supposedly from my bank or from credit card companies. If my bank or my credit card company is trying to get me to update some important information, I think they'd either call me or snail-mail me. Otherwise, I aignore everything.
