On the one hand Python has some form of command window (more dos-foxplus like than vfp). That one of the reasons why
1) i love python so much. The learning experience is a joy
2) i moved my web dev from *isapi to python/apache via mod_python.

On the ohter hand you will not find anything equivalent to vfp in terms of UI-enabled data-aware command window up to now in the python world. the python-based dabo project (http://dabodev.com/) environment by Ed Leafe and Paul McNett (both high-end vfp-ers and python-istas) may offer this.

Has anyone on UT tested the dabo stuff? I'd love to hear it here on UT:)
