I think pure ASP.NET (not using COM) is clearly better technology than anything you can do with Fox. Web Connection included. And definitely ASP+COM (or ASP.NET + COM).

>>>I too enjoy Rick's contributions, but..

>>>Some people only occasionally drop a response here and do not (or only selectively) respond on responses they get. That's what I also observe here. Several people responded to Rick's post and only one of them got a short reply. Two others got no reply. Especcially Walter Meester took the time to respond and he deserves a serious response, most notably by Rick. Why does Rick not reply???? Don't tell me that he has no obligation to reply. Sure, no one can force him to reply (it's a free world), but a moral obligation does exist, IMO. My esteem of Rick depends also on how he deals with replies.
>>>
>>>I still remember how Whil Hentzen used this forum to ventilate his opinions about some of 'us'. He wrote only one post and replied to not even a single reply. My esteem of him has since then gone down a lot. In my eyes, he did some bad pr at that time.
>>>
>>>Rick, you're an opinion leader. But in my eyes you only deserve that position if you also participate in the discussions and respond on responses.

>>While i agree with you 100% that Rick should respond to the answers he received, i think OTOH he should get a reasonable time window to do so...Don't foget the zillion things he is involved in, and in his place, with my 'high time-management' skills, it would take me a month to answer...

>I have looked at the time that passed. What I noticed was that he answered to one and just skipped the other ones. I bet he wasn't intending to answer them a day later. But in general, I agree with you about 'time windows'.

I feel in an infinite loop now :-) Should i not answer hoping you know i aknowldeged the above and agree or should i state it?

Why do programs stop working correctly as soon as you leave the Fox?
