Dear John,
>>Since when is correcting misguided logic and incompetent thinking, rudesness?
If you had said:
"Actually, VFP isn't so unique re the command line interface; Ed Leafe's Dabo also has a command line interface. Dabo is written in Python and is multi-OS. Take a look. Leafe is of course a longtime VFP guru so don't be surprised to see more VFP-like features there",
then I'd agree with you.
Instead you said "I know of one other product that does. So again you show your proclivity for shooting off your mouth without the facts."
QED.
As for Dabo; thanks for the tip. I like it- reminds me of FP before it became uncool.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
-- Shakespeare: Coriolanus, Act 1, scene 1
