This is another entry in the registry (don't remember if on the side of vfp or the entries on default application for file types). But give the "new" behaviour a chance for a few days - at first I was uncomfortable with it as well. Now I like it: Nowadays I use the set window to open tables in the same "topic" or directory structure, but am able to open a new instance of vfp for example to open the same table structure in a different directory (checking for blunders on my part in result tables).
