I am in the process of migrating from VFP8 to VFP9. I used the version of InstallShield that comes with VFP9 to build a small exe for the purpose of installing the VFP9 run time libraries on the network workstations that will be running our VFP apps.

When I ran the above exe on one of our workstations and then attempted to launch one of our VFP apps that I rebuilt in VFP9, I got the message that the MSCVR71.DLL could not be found. Using explorer, I found the MSCVR71.DLL in the folder of the small exe referred to in the first paragraph. I found that I could copy the MSCVR71.DLL to the folder of the application I was trying to launch or to the C:\WINNT\System32 folder and the app would launch OK.

Has something changed from VFP8 to VFP9 in regards to where the MSCVR71.DLL is installed or did I miss a step in InstallShield?
