I had same problem with my reports after I move from VFP6 to VFP8. The only way to resolve this problem is to change Printer Driver to "HP LaserJet" - Nothing more or If Your reports are not so many - Delete all & recreate them under VFP8 environment. I don't know what MS changed in VFP8 but this is the Result.
If You move to VFP9 In New Report system You can set FontCharSet=204 for each control in the report & then everothing is fine.
