Nancy, not 5 minutes before I ready your reply, it happened again. Only this time I had not been doing anything with the table structure.

Typically I utilize the Fix option in the Foxpro debugger if a problem arises, which is what I did just prior to this happening again. I wonder if that has anything to do with it. I'll check MS's KB.
