>>>I am an old COBOL-turned xBase user, and Im starting to notice that VFP seems to be getting virtually rubbed out by Visual Basic in the marketplace. Ive never really been a fan of Visual Basic, in fact I tried writing a VB app or two and never really got the hang of it, so I stuck to VFP, under the assumtion Microsoft would merge these two products into one development enviroment. My coworkers all tell me VFP is a dead language, and Im having trouble finding evangelistic whitepapers from Microsoft that prove them wrong. Can someone direct me to some sources of valid, confirmable information that can help me prove my case that my employer should continue to upgrade to future versions of FoxPro? Im getting closer to retirment age and Id ruther just ride the wave using VFP than have to learn something new.

I don't know. And based on how this one's going, don't think I want too. Its strange enough to find another Dallen, but look how similar our last names are (Delk, Delp). Even our programming language experience is similar.

I wonder if I should be afraid.
Dallen K. Delk, Jr.
