Tracy, I have a fairly complicated update scenario in my application. It was not easy for me to get SDT to handle it, but after I did it has been one of the best time savings I have ever had.
Updating now is a matter of releasing a new EXE and the metadata. No more visits to the clients, no more headaches. SDT is worth every dollar.
On top of that I get the database maintenance utilities, and the designer which is a great add-on to VFP.
Support from Doug Hennig is excelent. You will not get stuck with a bug untill next release, Doug will tell you how to fix in your machine, and get going.
I find it one of the first utilities to consider if you make applications for use outside your office.
>We are considering purchasing SDT and I would like to know if it is still supported to the same extent it always has been, if anyone out there is using it any pros and cons, and also if there are any comparable products. If we purchase it, we will purchase 1 license per developer of course and I will need to write up a justification for the purchase (necessity, benefits, cost, why we chose it over other comparable tools, etc).
