Actually: No. You cannot say "grab everything but the datetime field"
This is same constraint like you cannot say SELECT * (EXCEPT MyDateTimeField) FROM MyTable.

You do not need to change your SelectCmd - it can still be SELECT * FROM ...
However, you will need to define CursorSchema.
