I would also try for the MAC address of the network card - but I don't know how to obtain it. Please note that (a) not all machines will have a network card, but perhaps you are only interested in machines that are connected, and (b) the size of the MAC address is not 32 bits, but 48 bits (6 bytes).

If it is for primary keys, you might also go ahead and use the GUID function - each call of the GUID function will give a different value. But this one takes up 16 bytes.
