Hi,

Can anyone share there experience about using Visual foxpro with MYSQL backend.

I have just started using Mysql.

I have successfully installed MYSQL 4.3.1 and was able explore the following:

1. Reterive the data from MySQL server using Remote view from visual foxpro.
The problem is that i have 200 tables. Do i have to create 200 views
to talk to each table.

2. Secondly the moment i give use vew_issur........it takes atleast 30 sec
to connect to Mysql and then it starts fetching records from mysql.
I can see the record counter while fetching......though i can issue the
browse command......but i wonder i have masters which get updated every day and has a records around 89,000..............

3. In each module/form i have provided the f1 help to display the master
details (e.g. Issuer(company name) in the world). I wonder what happens
to the help.

Can anyone help me to know what are other ways to access it faster.
