It would have to support ISAPI - I think APACHE on WIndows does. THe other big thing is the intrinsic objects like Response,Request, and Session. Right now we get those from ASP.dll or ASPNET.dll. We could borrow those objects from foxisapi, I suppose. Come to think of it, a good Open Source project that is portable to any web server on Windows might be using Foxisapi to communicate with VFP mtdlls. It actually says in the foxisapi c++ source that it should be able to communicate with vfp mtdlls but I was never able to get that to work. The great thing about using the aspnet.dll or asp.dll isapi extensions is that they're dependable and highly optimized to be fast. My only concern would be that this new solution using foxisapi would be a lesser solution in some sort of way, but, maybe not. ...
