Thanks for the reply. The links are a very good start for me. I do not have the option of triggering the update from the app (they-wot-must-be-obeyed would never consider letting an app control their image!).

>Maybe you can make it work the other way around? Instead of your applicattion checking if WindowsUpdate is running, your application can launch and control the Windows Update? I never tried it, but you can find information here:
