Martin,

>> can't understand the "precisely". I don't think anything in my phrase is affirming anything the rest of you said before. 8-S

You say that it is your market expertise and excellence that gives you the edge. This important point seems to be forgotten by some people who behave as if selection of a development tool is what brings success.

>> And while I absolutely concur that this is difficult to replicate (I have this problem just extending my team), it is not so difficult to off-shore. I'm involved in several off-shore development projects and after a communicating curve, it's not so difficult, providing you have a good team the off-shore side and a good set of contacts at customer's site.

It seems we agree again. Market awareness and experience: difficult to offshore, or even to extend locally. Development manpower under instruction: easier to off-shore and happening every day.

QED.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
