Dean;
I have read a number of reports indicating that 50% of marriages in the United States end in divorce. My thinking on government allowing same sex marriages is due to attorneys who want more work in Divorce Court! Most “relationships” of this sort do not last long.
It also increases revenue for local government who sell Marriage licenses and hold Divorce court. Next we will have people marrying his/her dog, cat or sheep!
There is a long building in Carson City, Nevada, which has two doors. The doors are located on opposite ends of the building. Through one door you can be married and the other door divorced! I never looked inside and wonder if there is a direct connection through the building to more quickly end your marriage? By the way I have been married 39 years and it seems more like a few days!
As a Catholic I cannot imagine same sex marriages being allowed! We have so many elements in our society that tear apart families. Adding to the problem is not the way to go!
