Have you tried MODIFY MENU MyMenu and saved that? I am not sure if there are any "structural" changes between the menus from VFP8 to VFP9, but in the past there were. Just by modifying the menu upgraded those menu files to the newer version. Just recompiling would not do that.

>>Go to the "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VFP" folder (and anywhere else you may have copied these runtimes) to make sure all the VFP9*.* files are dated December 13, 2004. You may be running a beta version of the runtimes. I have a VFP9 app that started in VFP8 in production and have not noticed this problem.

>>>Hi,

>>>I have just recompiled a VFP8 application to VFP9 (hurray!). However, when I click on a main menu item in the application, nothing happens (no dropdown menu). I then noticed that if I keep the left mouse key depressed over the menu pad, the dropdown then appears and all is well.
>>>
>>>What I have noticed is that if I run the VFP9 application from my local development machine, this behaviour does not occur. However, the shared .EXE deployed from a server location does give this behaviour. FYI, the VFP8 version from the same location works as expected (ie., menu selection behaves as you would expect it to).
>>>
>>>Any ideas?
>>>
>>>Thanks.
