A couple clients after applying Windows XP updates started to receive an error message when VFP8 application is launched via double-click on a desktop icon ( or just from Explorer ) :

"This application has failed to start because the application configuration
is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem."
It is ERROR_SXS_CANT_GEN_ACTCTX in http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/debug/base/system_error_codes__12000-15999_.asp

Application data and exe on the network drive , and on local drive just run-time and certain ActiveXs.
It is operating system message and just wondering whether anyone experienced the same problem and found the remedy ( except Windows reinstallation ).
