Well you don't think that people will buy new systems and expect their OLD applications to still work on them?
I wouldn't see any "gain" from running FPD/FPW on a 64-bit OS other than being able to run newer stuff that might need it WHILE still running old reliable production applications.

There would never have been a Y2K problem if applications were replaced on a regular basis, but they simply aren't.
