Ahhh.... Good point! Perhaps my strategy is wrong! Perhaps my application should simply check for the existance of the directory or file, and if it does not exist, just wait awhile and try again! My application may just be stuck after the first attempt to access a file or directory.

I am using the 32 bit Netware client, but I think that works the same way...

But... what happens to open tables? Do they remain open through the disconnect/connect of network resources?

Thanks for dragging me outside the box - my thinking was too limited and based upon old realities.
