I stayed in the ST. Denis district in Montreal. Just loved the student thing going on at night and the ambience.

I agree with you there. In fact, it was on the telly just the other night here. That too is one of my favourite books (in fact, I graduated in 1984 and wrote one of my final year essays around the book - "To what extent, in 1984, are we living in 'Nineteen Eighty-Four'?" (also called "Orwell or All's Well").

My all time favourite, though, is Catch 22 (the film of the book was beaucoup de merde and bore little resemblance to the book). Guess I just like titles with numbers in them :-)
