I was running Visual Foxpro 3.0 and Foxpro 2.6 on a W98 user station on a Novell server. I now have an XP machine...am still running on Novell server but will probably be soon migrating to NT4.0 or a new sequel server. Is VFP 3.0 compatible with XP and NT?
I also understand that there are steps to bring Foxpro 2.6 up to compatiblity. I need to upgrade to 2.6a and then install patches. These steps will correct the problem of running the program on a faster processor. That is the error message I get when I try to run foxpro 2.6 on my XP machine (Divide by Zero system error). But I have not found anything anywhere that tells me if 2.6 or VFP 3.0 is actually XP compatible.
I would really appreciate any help I can get. I am in the process of trying to have my foxpro functionality back. I am thinking I will probably have to move to a newer version and in that case I want to try to convert all my foxpro 2.6 programs and apps to a newer VFP....Most of what I run now is in the Foxpro 2.6.
Again - I appreciate any help anyone can offer.
Thank you,
