I did that, i.e. in the class definition of the grid, I set the MemberClass and MemberClassLibrary to my column class definition, instead of leaving them blank in the grid class definition and then setting them in the form designer when I put the grid on the form. The result, was that the default textbox control for the grid's columns are no longer there.
