>Can VFP 9 be installed on the Windows Media Edition operating system?

I assume you really mean Windows Media Center. Windows Media Center is really windows xp pro with some additional goodies.... and the answer is yes...
however...something you should be aware of.
If you use Windows Media Center 2005 - you can't join a domain without doing some workarounds because of the support for the MCE Extender boxes. There are 2 ways around it that I've found, but of course you loose the extender box ability. My guess is that sooner or later M$ will try to block these work-arounds (although I dont see how than can block 1 of the 2 methods..hehe) becuase MCE 2005 is actually cheaper than XP Pro (ya I dont understand the logic either). Anyway MCE 2005 has advantages over MCE 2004 - HDTV support plus you can have up to 3 tv-tuners (1 HDTV + 2 analog) and MCE 2004 just lets you have the 1 analog - means you cant watch one show and record another at the same time (yuk).
Anyway if you have any questions about MCE (Windows Media Center) lemme know - I've messed around with it A LOT - and yeah I have a laptop with MCE and VS.NET 2003 and VFP 5,6,7,8 and 9 on it - runs fine.
