If your cbo is not set to Style = DropDown List, you can type a new value into the cbo. But that will not cause the item to be selectable from the droplist. To do this you'll need to add that item into the RowSource. I'm pretty sure if you search the files secion here you can find a couple of cbo classes that already have this coded into them.

>Combobox, setup with builder, keeps pick list values (one column) fine but not keyboard entered data, it just won't retain. Has to be something simple as all combobox documentation suggests you can keyboard or pick from the list.
