I have the debugger set up to appear in a Debug Frame. When I run code and an error is encountered, the debugger isn't fully available to me until I click on Suspend in the program error dialog that comes up in the main VFP window. I don't know if this is related to your specific scenario, but just thought I'd bring it up.
