>Well the idiot millionaires and billionaires have successfully achieved being the first North American pro sport to cancel an entire season. They have managed to royally screw the fans. Not to mention all the arena/game workers, concessionaires working for charities and families who depend on the pitance of dollars needed to just get by in alot of cases. Selfish b@$t@rd$, all of 'em.

I don't care about those freaks. What is really sad in this is the "ordinary" guys and gals losing their jobs.

I read some saying that the sport would never be what is was. I'm sorry to tell you that guys but is stopped being good many years ago.

A big part of the problem now is that there are too many teams (in particular in places where people don't really care about it) and too many plumbers to fill the holes resulting in the creation of those extra teams.

So because there are not enough really good players the billionaires are willing to pay that little extra to try to buy the Stanley cup. Will the billionaires care if other (supposed friends) billionaires don't have as much success. They don't care because for them it's not only a matter of sport but also an ego trip. Best in business, best in sport...

That's why a salary cap would be needed. Don't conclude from this that I support the owners. It's just that if we don't want to lose the sport this is probably the only protection that will do it. Limiting the billionaires from killing it just to satisfy their ego.
