Yes, David, you are correct. There needs to be a menu shortcut for this to work. He can provide this functionality with the following code after the menu is displayed.
RELEASE POPUPS My_prg
DEFINE POPUP My_prg 
DEFINE BAR _MPR_RESUM OF My_prg PROMPT '\<Resume' KEY ctrl+M, ''
