I am lucky enough to attend DevCon in Las Vegas this year.

Realizing that the most interesting conversations will happen at the hotel bar/restaurant, I was wondering where a majority of the attendees stay.

The host resort's rates are pretty high ($159 per night) compared to hotels on "The Strip" ($40 - 80 per night). I am currently being pushed towards a hotel on "The Strip" by the bean counters and may try to justify the extra cost if most of the attendees stay at the host resort.
