DevCon is at the same hotel as last year. There was hardly any conversations going on at the bar as there are several bars and lots of other things to do in Vegas. I know that many people went down to the strip during the evening. The jam session was basically John Hawkins from Advisor and no one else. All in all, the conference was a disappointment. I can't see why it would be better this year.

Most people last year stayed at the conference hotel. The only other one close by is the Sun Coast. Both are 10 miles off the strip.

>Realizing that the most interesting conversations will happen at the hotel bar/restaurant, I was wondering where a majority of the attendees stay.

>The host resort's rates are pretty high ($159 per night) compared to hotels on "The Strip" ($40 - 80 per night). I am currently being pushed towards a hotel on "The Strip" by the bean counters and may try to justify the extra cost if most of the attendees stay at the host resort.
