I'm creating an Income Statement where the user wants to be able to print with or without subheadings and subtotals. So, I created the appropriate Group Breaks. On each object in the Group Header and Group Footer bands, I checked the "Remove Line When Blank" and added code to the "Print only when expression is true" field.

This works in that the Group Header/Footer bands don't show any detail, but when you look at the report, you can tell there are small gaps between the detail lines. The gaps happen to appear anytime there would have been a group header or footer.

The gaps do not appear to be the height of a full band ... in other words, it doesn't look the same as if a blank detail line printed ... but it is still noticeable in that it breaks the flow of the detail.

Any ideas on where that space may be coming from ?
