thank you for clarifying the points about registering ActiveX controls. Stochastic observation told us the same thing -- with one clarificiation, even if we have not referenced the ActiveX component, but find that the user has a missing / stale copy of the control and we register it we are forced to exit the APP and restart it. Only costs the one program execution, and that only if the user's system is incorrectly set up. Thanks.
