>>Nick, I'm not a very proficient VFP programmer, but for a Modal Form which automatically reads events, VFP requires a form to be in a form set. For one of my projects that means dozens of form sets each with only one form in them! I have asked another question about how to use multiple forms in a form set, because I can't get it to work!

You can use Modal forms with no problems without formsets. Do you issue READ EVENTS in your start program? Are you using any framework?

I'm already using a number of nested pageframes. I've set it up this way instead of using the drop down menus - I just prefer it. I am now using separate modal forms without formsets. It just seems strange to me that "Formsets" do not seem to make it easy to do what I would assume a "set of forms" would do! I wonder if v6 has taken this into account! Thanks for your comments.
