No, I just sucked it and saw, and the cursor went and ordered itself on the 1st key field (no PK in table) that it found apparently. i.e. source table in no order but cursor in order of one of its keys. Go figure.

>If the table wasn't in any index order, i.e. in recno() "order", and no order was imposed on the cursor. wouldn't the cursor therefore itself be in recno() order?
>
>>Does anyone know the correct syntax to create a SQL VIEW and order it in record # order ? I tried to add "order by recno()" to the end of my create sql view definition but it returned an error SQL: Column ' ' is not found.
