What is the 'proper' technique for long term development of an application? I migrated my fp2.6 application to vfp3, then vfp5 and I still haven't got around to using the forms designer and VCX library. Why should I?

As a former Simula programmer, naturally I class and subclass everything, but I still like the infinite flexibility of 'written' program modules, and my add-on to FoxDoc which shows me where every class and proc is defined or called throughout. Why should I change?
