I have a small problem regarding VFP as a DDE Server. In MS Word you can insert a field that requests information from a DDE Server:

{DDE Application Subject ObjectToRequest}

I have set up a DDE Server in VFP and when this field in MS Word is updated manually it retrieves the correct information form VFP.

When I use DDEAUTO instead of DDE in MS Word the field is supposed to be updated automatically. However, this does no happen. It is as though MS Word doesn't get a proper connection with the VFP DDE Server. If I switch to VFP while MS Word is trying to get the info from it I get a dialog saying that MS Word is not responding to call. Clicking 'Retry' in this dialog seems to establish the connection between the two programs and the DDEAUTO fields in MS Word are updated properly.

If anyone has successfully been using DDEAUTO in connection with VFP I would be happy to find out what I am doing wrong...
