I am trying to get a simple 'helloworld' Asp.net webform to work on my PC. I created this as a new project. But when I try to view the page, I get the following error in my browser.

---------------------------------------
Server Error in 'mydir/appname' Application
Parser Error
Parser Error: Could not load type 'mynamespace.global'
Source error:
Line 1: <%@ Application Codebehind='Global.asax.cs' Inherits='mynamespace.global'
---------------------------------------

In my situation, I CAN get this or any webform to work if I create the project on my local drive. But I can NOT get any webform to work if I create the project on our network drive.

Also, this problem only occurs on my new PC. My old PC can create a Asp.net project on either the local or network drive.

What am I missing?

When I build the project, the .DLL is being built in the /BIN/ directory. I even copied my machine.config from my old PC to my new PC. This did not help.

Any ideas on how I can create asp.net applications on a network drive?

Thanks,

Jerry
