Bonnie,
I have this problem today.

I go by my Patron and I see Server with OS "Windows 2003 Server" SQL and my Database there.
I try to access the database with System DNS=>ODBC SQL server but nothing.
Then I try to access The c-drive of the SERVER and He ask me for Login and Password. I bring the nessary information and become the access.
Then I try ODBC=>DNS.. again and all its ready with "Named Pipes".
