There's another trick to this: it will display "cannot quit" message if it has code executing while you try to close it. It needs a wait state - and the "cannot quit" dialog is such a wait state. So don't click OK, just kill it while it displays that message.

Of course, a regular shutdown procedure is much better - this is for special cases when you invent a new type of infinite loop.
