Thank you for adding something to the discussion at hand. And yes, I work had a being charming, but charming is something a few on this site don't understand. My post was directed to the few whiners and complainers here about the lack of marketing and why we can't make vfp open source. LOL, what a ridiculous notion.

>Are you always so charming?

>>>There are millions of people in the world who do not share your privileges of awareness, proximity and access. The VFP website may be a crucial resource for the scanty few minutes of internet access that can be secured.
>>
>>According to whom? The majority of people in the world don't even know that VFP exists.
>>>
>>>I know that when I was paying 1.5 pounds per minute for internet access from my London hotel earlier this month, if I wanted a list of VFP9 features for a business meeting I'd expect to head for the VFP site rather than browsing through various repositories.
>>
>>That would be your loss. If I want information on VFP, I know of many more resources other than the Microsoft site. Most professionals in VFP do the research necessary to find these repositories and don't rely on spoon feeding by Microsoft.
>>
>>>
>>>In any case, what do you care if people feel there isn't enough detail on the VFP website? You're a dot-netty with articles to your name and a growing following. It may well be that your fans lap up the above breed of discourse, but I'd like to think that dotnetties maintain a sense of respect and don't go in for gratuitous online slaps. In which case you're hurting your ambition to be an esteemed leader. JMHO.
>>
>>Its not the detail in question, but the incessant whining by a few of the VFP'ers here who just don't get it. VFP is Microsoft's red-headed step child. No matter how much whining or compalining or tyring to form cadres is going to do anything. Microsoft understands $'s. Some of the whiners here have confessed to still developing in 7.0. What's up with that?
>>
>>Kevin is a visionary. He has a string of major apps in both VFP and dotnet. He probably has more experince programming and runnning his own business than you. He saw the handwriting on the wall as did Kevin McNeish, JVP, Jim Duffy, et. al. If you want to stay with a dying product that still has some following, then stay here with your head in the sand. If you want to move on, then understand the place of VFP in the world of software development and pick a current development platform with a higher degree of accepatance.
>>
>>You need to take a strong dose of castor oil so you clean out your system. Once you can see and speak clearly, you may have something worth listening to. JMHO
