Lots of examples:

Conquistadors in Mexico before attacking the residents:

The priest first stands upon a hill. He sprinkles Holy Water in the direction of the Pagans and then states in a loud voice, “por santiago y dios”. These few words convert the Pagans to Christians, and make them worthy of being killed! The attack begins!

Then we have groups of righteous Christians called the Klu Klux Clan. Even though today there are thought to be only a few thousand followers of the KKK, one member of such an organization is more then the world needs.

The Protestant Church has many branches and if you do not find one you like then create your own. Take Snake Worshipers for example:

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. —Mark 16:17-18


These words give the reason for the existence of Snake Worship. Why it is in the Bible!

Being in the Bible is a great catch all to justify whatever you want. After all, it is The Word of God!
