>Dragan, I think its fair to say that religions continue to this very day trying to create converts. The methods are simply more sophisticated and not so obvious but the goal remains the same. The means are just slicker.

For me, the first red flag is the first commandment (hey, a commandment - what is this, a spiritual movement or an army?), which translates, IMO, into "we shall have monopoly", "we are right and everybody else is wrong", "thou shalt never ever shop across the street, for all your spiritual needs you come to us only".

The second red flag is the will to spread. With spreading, there comes the money and power, which inevitably attract greedy or power-hungry types. And I don't seem to see much defense against getting those types into the ranks. That's where communist movement failed - it began as a movement of the people for the people, ended up in a hierarchy, with the usual distribution of power topside, and poverty bottomside.
