>>>My daughter caught this trojan and we can't seem to get rid of it. McAfee finds it every 10 seconds, says that it removes and cleans the file, and immediately pops again with the same problem. We tried to scan the computer with McAfee but to no avail. Also, downloaded Ad-Aware PE, ran it, no help. Google search didn't give much help. Interesting that McAfee info about this trojan says "low risk" but to me it seems as annoying as hell.

>Good idea to start the computer in Safe mode. Do I do it by pressing F8 while computer is booting (this is XP professional)
Yes.
>Also, how to you turn off System Restore?
I'm not running XP here but IIRC you right-click on My Computer (in Start Menu if not on desktop), click on Properties and it's in the properties sheets somewhere. Remember to turn it back on when you're done.
