Cecil,

Is .Net used at your place?

Apply the same medicine when VS .Net 2005 comes out <g>

That is if it comes out in 2005 <g>

If you don't use .Net (I'd be very very surprised if you did'nt because apparently every companies uses it <g>) then find a product with a new version that the mainframe guy uses.

I love mindgames ;-)

>One of our "mainframe" geniuses here said that we shouldn't buy Visual FoxPro 9.0 because it hasn't been tried and proven to work. You know, I can't believe how many of these guys I have run into who know nothing about the product and yet are so willing to throw mud at it. I straightened him out ASAP and told him that I had been using the VFP 9.0 BETA and that it was a very stable product. At that point, he only said, "Okay". Because of my height, I bulldozed past his argument and was able to get my way. The order for VFP 9.0 went through on my recommendation.

How many more of these supposed smart MIS "guys" are out there who know so much about Visual FoxPro, but have never used it? Man,...!!! No matter how good this product is, and it is obviously a great product, there is always some "knowledgeable" MIS person ready to slam it, having never known anything about it. But, can you trust a mainframe person anyway?

>If anyone is offended, I did not intend to offend anyone; part of this is tongue in cheek.
