>As I said, the proper way to submit a VFP bug to the VFP team is to go to http://msdn.com/vfoxpro/support. If anyone posts a bug on the UT, in the UT bug list, or any online forum or newsgroup, then it is for educating others or for discussion only, but may not be reviewed for future fixing. Our current system for VFP bug reporting works great, and the results can be seen in the rock solid stability of VFP 9.0 just released.

Hmmm... I don't think we'll gonna agree here completely on whether or not the MS procedure 'works great'.

But let me try another line of thought:

Suppose there were no forums, and all developers sent in their bug reports indeed directly to vfpfeed@, where might we read the feedback on reported bugs then? I know that there are BUG: pages on the MS site, also with regard to VFP. But what is the best entrance? Where is the index? I couldn't find it anywhere.

Why I ask? Because now the UT says to maintain the bug page mainly to give developers a central place where they can find out about bugs and eventual workarounds. But because these days no one is adding bugs here anymore, this service is about to die and the developers will have to go somewhere else. Is MS already giving that service or going to give it?
