Ah, Bonnie, you should have seen the TV play "The Strange case of the end of civilisation as we know it", some years ago, starring John Cleese (as Sherlock Holmes) and Terry Jones (as Watson). Throughout the play Watson was doing a crossword and always gave Holmes the clues, such as:
W - "A citrus bearing plant, 2 words"
H - "A lemon tree, Dear Watson"
W - "Small alleyway in the back streets of Whitechappel"
H - "Allum Entry, D W"
W - "Scienticic name for the food canal"
H - "Alimentary, D W"
... There were lots more but I can't remember them all.
PS I'm not sure if you all caught ALL the mistakes but the orig. message should have read:
"Way to
O Qu
IET here"
>>Or one from the old Kung Fu TV show:
>>
>>"Waiter, Kwai ate here"
>
>Ah, the Brit humor ... gotta love it! <s>

>>>>Yes, he should have written "weigh to quite hear".
>>>
>>>ROFL!!! Good one!! =)
