Please elaborate on how I trashed his opinion. Yes, I disagreed with the advice given, mainly because the original question was never answered - specifically, which tool was better for a given task. In reviewing the thread, I think I was the only one who actually answered the question.

I only wrote one post. The rest was in response to Ed's posts to me. Once he did, it became an open discussion. I think Ed and you here are dishing out some critisism on me. Thats fine - I fully expect that. But, you wont catch me whining about it<s>.

Why? Because I think it is incorrect to give advise when you don't have the facts to back it up. Remember, the question was which was the better tool. The adivice given was - and I am paraphrasing here - "Hey, if you know VFP, just use it - the results will be pretty much the same". Sorry, the results may not be the same - and - it did not answer the fundemental question of what the better tool was.
Intresting that you failed to comment on this oversight with respect to the original question.<s>

One, I don't think Ed needs you to defend him. Two, with respect to trying to be right all the time. Well, guilty as charged. When I post something, I have this funny knack about wanting to be be correct in what I write. Intrestingly enough however, you don't really have to try hard - you just have try to be right. Usually, that is all that is required. If you don't have the desire to expect what people post is correct - or at least - has a basis in fact - then I am probably wasting my time writing this response.
