USE H:\myfile SHARED

when issued from within a compiled EXE file being run from a DOS window generates a File Access Denied message.

Ten seconds later the same command issued from a VFP command window executes properly.

Ten seconds later (and I closed the file from the VFP window), the compiled version generates the same error.

Aside from the possibility of a very bad timing coincidence with another application opening the file exclusively, are there any other situations which could cause this?
