I received publicity from DELL mentioning that this offer would end in a couple of weeks.
Offer looked very interesting. Buy a computer and choose from the following:
- A monitor
- A laser printer
- AXIM (Handheld)
Any of the three for $1 more
I thought that this was a FANTASTIC deal. An example the AXIM is worth close to $400 Canadian.
BUT
This morning I received another publicity from DELL. It turns out that the price of the same computer that was advertised in the precedent offer (What I thought was the deal of the century) is $400 less 8-(
So the morale of this story:
It's true there's no free lunch <vbg>
Before all those publicities I was really looking toward buying a DELL as my next computer. But with that phony offer I think that I'll give my money to a business that really cares about me (if that kind of company still exists) and won't pressure me making me think that they thought long and hard on how to make me a DEAL I would'nt be able to refuse.
